The path from mental illness to mental wellness is not one size fits all. Sometimes we take small steps in the right direction. Other times we take large steps. Then there are the times we have to backtrack in order to move forward again. I come from the understanding that the journey is more important than the destination, and offer services to those who would like me to assist them with that journey. Whether it's feelings of sadness, overwhelming worries, experiences we keep seeming to relive/repeat, something not mentioned or even all of the above. No matter the challenge, I emphasize strengths, and utilize strategies within. I've worked with individuals, families, and couples, but I specialize in working with people between the ages of 13 - 50. Challenges to mental health include anxiety, depression, and experiences of trauma. I consider myself an unconventional therapist, and enjoy working with people who feel they don't fit within the norms of society. The modalities I utilize include but are not limited to,Psychodynamic TherapyCBTNarrative and;Relational therapy The path to healing is not about the destination; its about the journey.
